~ It's official, SOH's Executive Director is now in Seattle getting Sanctity of Hope going there.

Neighbors helping neighbors help neighbors is about getting communities involved helping their own members. Sanctity of Hope facilitates this process in three steps:

  1. Sanctity of Hope sells their tokens to the public for $1.25 (tax-deductible donation).
  2. SOH tokens are then given to the homeless instead of cash.
  3. The homeless use the tokens at participating SOH partners (restaurants and thrift stores) for food and clothing.
  4. Sanctity of Hope purchases tokens back from retailers and resells them.

Sanctity of Hope is organized to help those who wish to give but do not do so because of ultimate use concerns (the fear of their generosity being misused). By removing the ultimate use barrier, we believe more people will give, they will feel better for giving, and they will give more often. This benefits both the homeless and the community.
